Call sign JJUL. Built by Mitsubishi Jukogyo K.K., Nagasaki, Japan between 1936-1937 for Osaka Syosen K.K., Osaka, Japan. Acquired by the Japanese Imperial Navy on 12 November 1941, converted into a hospital ship on 1 December at the Kure Nval Arsenal. Between 1947-1956 used by the Allied Repatriation Service for bringing Japanese prisoners of war back from Siberia and Nakhodka, Russia and sold on 23 March 1956 to be broken up. Gross tonnage 9.347 tons, under deck 6.850 tons, net tonnage 4.493 tons, deadweight 6.000 tons and as dimensions 462.2 x 60.7 x 38.1 x 27 (estimated loaded) metres.
