American whaler Brooklyn spoken according to the newspaper The Polynesian dated 21 August 1847

An item reported the arrival at Lahaina, Hawaii on 16 August by the American whaler Wm. Hamilton master Fisher of New Bedford who spoke on 18 July the American whaler Brooklyn 3.800 barrels oil, full
