American whaling ship Parachute visited Honolulu, Hawaii according to the newspaper The Polynesian dated 4 September 1847

An item reported the arrival at Honolulu, Hawaii on 30 August by the American whaling ship Parachute master Devol of New Bedford 23 months out 2.900 barrels whale oil 1.250 barrels this season wanting 75 barrels.
