England taking over command over Russian Baltic and Black Sea fleets according to the Ducth newspaper Middelburgsche courant dated 26 October 1914

An item dated Viena, Austria 24 October referred to the Russian newspaper Nowoje Zwono reporting that the Triple Entente signed a treaty that the command over the Russian Baltic and Black Sea fleets was handed over to England which was obliged to add her own squadrons to strengthen both fleets.(1)

Note

1. Triple Entente was an informal non-military agreement between the British and Russen empires and France dating from 1907.
