Former American whaler Arctic now used for guano transport according to the newspaper The Pacific Commercial Advertiser dated 6 December 1860

An item dated Wednesday 5 December reported that the ship Arctic captain Phillips was to load  guano at Baker’s Islands bringing workers to the island to relieve the ones there all ready working. This was a former whaler.
