Laid down by Cantieri Navali Riuniti, Ancona, Italy on 25 January 1936. Launched on 27 September 1936. Commissioned on 16 January 1937. Lost off Cape Spartivento on 2 July 1943 during a fight with the British destroyer HMS Jervis (1) and Greek destroyer Vasilissa Olga (2). Stricken on 18 October 1946. Spica-class, sub-class Climene, preceded by Curtatone-class, succeeded by Ariete-class. Displacement 652 (standard)-1.010 (full load) tons and as dimensions 81.40 x 8.20 x 2.38-3.01 metres. Two Tosi turbines and 2 Yarrow type boilers with 19.000 hp, 221 tons fuel bunker capacity and 34 knots speed. Range 1.960 nautical miles/15 knots and 704 nautical miles/30 knots. Crew numbered 99 men. Armament included 4x1-45cm/18” torpedo guns, 3x1-10cm/3.9” 47 cal guns, 4x2-13.2mm/0.5”guns and mines.

Displacement 1.371 (standard)-1.879 (deep load). Speed 36 knots. Main armament 4x1-12.7cm/5” guns and 2x4-53.3cm/21” torpedo tubes.
