An item dated Athens, Greece 30th referred to a statement of the headquarters of the Greek navy reporting that an Italian submarine attacked the Greek cruiser Helle in last August. Experts investigated the fragments of the two torpedoes find after the attack and which proved to be Italian. For political reasons at the time was this not earlier announced.(1)

1.The protected cruiser Elli, laid down by New York Shipbuilding, USA as the Fei Hong part of the Chinese Chao Ho-class on 14 June 1911, launched on 9 May 1912,, order cancelled due to the revolution in China in 1912-1913, completed in November 1913, to Greece in 1914 and sunk off the Tinos harbour on 15 August 1940 when she was hit by torpedoes fired by an Italian submarine. Main armament 3x1-15.3cm/6” guns.
