American whaling bark La Fiette visited South Africa according to the The Cape of Good Hope Almanac and Annual Register for 1846

An item reported the arrival in the Simon’s Bay on 24 September 1845 by the American whaling bark La Fiette with a tonnage of 310 tons, master Albert Bowen, coming from Warren on 23 July and departing on 1 November for whaling.
