British sloop HMS Hollyhock active in Chinese waters according to the Secret Admiralty Weekly Intelligence Summary No. 3 dated 24 July 1920

An item reported the presence of the British sloop HMS Hollyhock at Tienstin, China for maintaining a wireless telegraph communication with Peking, China.(1)

Note

1. Of the Acacia-class mine sweeping sloops of which the building was ordered in January 1915 under the Emergency War Program, before 1917 mainly used as minesweeper afterwards as escort vessels. Launched by Barclay Curle&Company, Whiteinch, Scotland on 1 May 1915 and sold to be broken up on 7 October 1930.
