An item reported that the Siamese destroyer Phra Ruang, the former British HMS Radiant (1) left Southampton, England on the 22nd towards Bangkok, Siam. On board was the flag of admiral prince Abhakara of Chumporn, minister of navy hoisted.(2)

1. Part of the R-class destroyers, preceded by Admiralty M-class, succeeded by S-class, building ordered in July 1915, launched by John.I. Thornycroft&Company, Woolston, England on 25 November 1916, commissioned in February 1917, sold to back the shipyard on 21 June 1920 and resold to Siam in September 1920. Afterwards training ship, removed from actual service in 1957 and stricken 2 years later. With a displacement of 1.052 (normal)-1.227 (full) and as dimensions 84.1 x 8.15 x 3.00 metres or 276 x 26.9 x 9.10 feet. Original main armament 3x1-10.16cm/4” Mark IV quick firing guns.
