Of the Tritone-class or Flutto-class 1st type. Dimensions 63,15 x 6,98 x 4.87 metres or 207’2.2”x 22’10.8”x 15’11.7” and a displacement of 905 (surfaced)-1.070 (submerged) tons. Crew numbered 49 men including 5 officers. Speed 16 (surfaced)-8 (submerged) knots. Range surfaced 5.400 nautical miles/8 knots respectively 2.000/16 and submerged 80 nautical miles/4 knots respectively 7/8. Armament 7-53,3cm/21” torpedo tubes (4 for, 2 aft), 1-10cm/4” cal 47 gun on the fore deck before the tower and 2x2-13.2mm/0.52” anti aircraft guns on the tower. Diving depth 130 metres. Built by CRDA, Montfalcone, Italy. Laid down on 3 January 1942, launched on 23 February 1943, commissioned on 21 July 1943, surrendered to the Allied forces in September 1943, disarmed in 1948 and renamed V.1, retained her original name in 1952 (S 502) and modernized and stricken in 1967. After the modernization was she unarmed and described as part of the Accaio-class.
