Allied air attack on the harbour of Rabaul successful according to the U.S. Joint Intelligence Committee. Daily summary dated 20 March 1942

An item referred to the summary No. 99 dated 19 March reporting that during the allied air attack on Rabaul, New Britain [Papua New Guinea] a heavy cruiser was indeed hit once directly and two other ships were nearly missed.
