Laid down on 13 February 1943, launched on 9 March 1944, commissioned on 9 September 1944, decommissioned on 30 September 1944, converted into a Providence-class guided missile cruisers Cleveland sub-class, preceded by Galveston-class, succeeded by Long Beach-class between 1957-1960, since 23 May 1957 classified as CLG-7, recommissioned 2 July 1960, decommissioned on 15 May 1974, classified as CG-7 on 1 July 1975, stricken on 31 July 1980 and sold to be broken up on 11 March 1980.
