Japanese forces still not entering Indian Ocean according to the U.S. Joint Intelligence Committee. Daily summary dated 21 March 1942

An item reported that that except for air patrols within 600 miles range of Penang, Malaysia and probably Rangoon, Burma nothing much happened and that the Japanese fleet just with caution would enter the Indian Ocean.
