Japanese navy worrying about American naval activities according to the U.S. Joint Intelligence Committee. Daily summary dated 10 March 1942

An item reported that the Japanese Naval High Command seemed to worry seriously about the activities of the American naval task forces and submarines in the western pacific. The fact that the Japanese Imperial Navy was requiring more merchant ships was a result of lacking sufficient transport facilities.
