An item dated Amsterdam, Netherlands 14 May referred to letters received from Bayoene [Bayonne, France] reporting that the Greenland whaler Le St. Jean commandeur Miquetto de Hargies when leaving the harbour grounded for 24 hours and finally refloated with the support of chaloupes. She returned to the town and departed after being repaired on 2 May.
