An item reported that in the night of 17-18 August 3 freighters of a convoy were torpedoed during 2 attacks south westward of Guantanamo, Cuba. During the current month were 14 ships torpedoed which were part of the convoys in the area Straits of Florida-North Cuba-Windward Passage-Jamaica.
