Part of Indefatigable-class battle cruisers, preceded by Invincible-class, succeeded by Lion-class. Built under the 1909-1909 Naval Programme, laid down by HM Dockyard Portsmouth on 23 February 1909, launched on 28 October 1909, commissioned on 24 Febuary 1911 and sunk in the battle of Jutland on 31 May 1916.
