British whaler Fame retuned home according to the newspaper The Inquirer and Mirror dated Thursday 29 November 1821

An item reported that the whaler Fame returned to Hull, England with a catch of 8 whales. The Congreve rocket was with success used. One whale had a length of almost 100 feet. After a hit with a rocket even the largest whale became an easy prey. One whale killed by a rocket. Six of the 9 whales died within 15 minutes. The others no time mentioned.
