French passenger-cargo ship (ex-Pahud 1906-1909, Van Noort 1909-1936) Gouverneur Géneral Pasquier 1936-1943

similar to the Dutch Camphuijs (1903)

Call sign FNZN. Similar to the Dutch Camphuijs or Camphuys. Launched with yard number 71 by the N.V. Nederlandsche Scheepsbouw-Maatschappij, Amsterdam, Netherlands on 11 January 1906, delivered in February 1906 to the N.V. Koninklijke Paketvaart-Maatschappij, Batavia, Netherlands, since 29 May 1936 owned by Société des Affréteurs Maritimes Indochinois, Saigon, French Indochina and while striking a mine near Haiphong [Vietnam] sunk on 7 May 1943. Gross tonnage 1,994 tons, below deck 1,427 tons, net tonnage 1,235 tons, deadweight 2,063 tons, bale cargo capacity 67,000 cubic feet and as dimensons 296.2 x 38.0 x 18.1 feet.
