Indonesian fishing praus driven by wind to Australian waters according to the Australia Station Intelligence Summary dated 8 June 1957

An item reported the arrival off Cape Leveque on 22 April of 8 sailing Indonesian fishing praus blowing off course while active on the fishing grounds. Later stated the master of the River Mitta bound for the Yampi Sound that he saw 5 praus anchored off the north end of Adele, probably partly similar to the 8 earlier reported.
