Russia sending two squadrons of the Baltic Fleet to the Far East according to the Dutch newspaper Sumatra-bode dated 29 June 1904

An item reported that in Russia two squadrons of the Baltic Fleet were fitted out withas destination the Far East.

The first quadron consisted of the armored cruisers Orel [Bogatyr-class armored cruiser], Knjas Soworof [Knyaz Suvorow, Borodino-class battleship], Borodino [Borodino-class battleship], Alexander III [Aleksandr III, Borodino-class battleship], supported by 3 cruisers and several destroyers.

The second squadron included the battleships Osljabja [Oslyabya, Peresvet-class battleship], Sisbj Welki [battleship Sissoi Veliky], Nawarid [battleship Navarin?], Imperator Nikolaj I [(mperator Aleksandr II-class], 4 cruisers and several destroyers.

Further more seemed submarines to be added to the squadrons and 15 colliers for each squadrons. The squadrons were each to cruise another route before uniting in an unknown harbour.
