The Jaarboek van de Koninklijke Nederlandsche Zeemacht 1900-1901 reported that the British gunboat HMS Sparrow visited Tandjong-Priok, Dutch East Indies between 14-17 February 1901.

1. Part of Redbreast-class gunboats succeeded by Bramble-class. Laid down by Scotts Shipbuilding and Engineering Company, Greenock with yard number261 in 1888, launched on 26 September 1889, commissioned on 13 May 1890, decommissioned in 1904, in service by the New Zealand Governement as training ship NZS Amokura in October 1906, decommissioned in December 1921 and sold as a coal hulk in February 1922.
