American whaler Ann Alexander on 1 October 1841

Homeport New Bedford. Master Pardon Taber (Jr.?). Managing owner George Howland. Lying in the harbour planned to depart in October 1841 for the Pacific. Tonnage 253 tons. Registered on 29 January1806, built at Dartmouth in 1805, 211 20/95 tons, dimensions 86.9 x 23.6 x 11.9 feet, 2 decks, 3 masts, square stern, no galleries r figurehead. Registered on 18 October 1828 25 32/95 tons and dimensions 101.8 x 25.5 x 11.8 1/2 feet. Registered on 13 June 1845 and sunk by a whale in the Pacific Ocean on 28 August 1851.
