Original numbered 10. Thong Kaeo-class based on the US LCU 1626-class design.. Built by Royal Thai Naval Dockyard, Bangkok, Thailand, ordered in 1980 and commissioned on 11 November 1983. Displacement 193-396 (full load) tons and as dimensions 41.0 x 9.0 x 2.1 metres. 2 G.M. Detroit Diesel 16V71N propulsion, 2 screws, 1,400 bhp and a range of 1,200 nautical miles/10 knots. Crew numbered 32 men including 3 officers. Cargo capacity 143 tons with a 30.5 x 5.5 metres vehicles deck. Armament 2x1-2cm 90 cal Oerlikon GAM-B01 anti aircaft guns and 2x1-7.62 mm machine guns.
