Merchant ship losses in July 1942 according to the U.S. Joint Intelligence Committee. Daily summary dated 6 August 1942

An item reported that the Allied and neutrals lost in July totally 516,000 gross tons of cargo ships although the exact figure was to become higher with another 100,000 tons when all figures were valuated. Losses until then January 406,000-February 638,000-March 648,000-April 652,000-May 697,000-Jun 835,000 tons.
