An item dated Amsterdam, Netherlands 20 August referred to tidings from a Danish Greenland whaler reporting that the Biscayan whalers fitted out as privateers captured the Dutch Greenland whaler Arke Noach commandeur Pieter Dirksz. The ship was so badly leaking that the privateer returned the whale bone, line and part of the sails and Dirksz handed over the remaining stores and oil in to the ship of Mathias Klaesz.
