German armoured frigate SMS Bayern 1874-1919

Part of Sachsen-class armoured frigates preceded by Kaiser-class succeeded by Oldenburg. Laid down by Kaiserliche Werft, Kiel, Germany with contract name “A”in June 1874, launched on 13 May 1878, commissioned on 4 August 1881, stricken on 19 Februry 1910 and sold to be broken up in 1919.
