German light cruiser SMS Undine (1901-1915)

Willy Stöwer (22 May 1864 Wolgast-31 May 1931 Berlin). Aquarel and mixed technics. Part of Gazelle-class light cruisers preceded by SMS Hela succeeded by Bremen-class. Laid down under contract name ‘J’ by Howaldtswerke, Kiel, Germany on 28 September 1901, launched on 11 December 1902, commissioned to execute sea trials on 5 January 1904, decommissioned on 30 March 1904, recommissioned on 10 January 1905, acting as gunnery training ship replacing the SMS Carola (1880) and torpedoed and sunk by the British submarine HMS E 19 north of Arkona, Rügen, Baltic Sea on 7 November 1915.
