Part of Bussard-class unprotected cruisers preceded by Schalbe-class succeeded by SMS Gefion. Laid down by Kaiserliche Werft Danzig, Germany in 1890, launched on 2 February 1892, commissioned on 17 August 1892, since 1914 mine storage hulk and exploded and lost on 19 April 1917.
