Russian coastal batteries in the Arctic area in 1943

The American Assistent Naval Attache at Murmansk, Russia referred in his report on 14 June 1943 to the staff of the Soviet Nothern Fleet when he described the coastal batteries east of Cape Teriberski and in the White Sea and aproaches. The information which him was supplied lacked many details. Th reason that he got is was to inform merchant and waships seeking protection under the batteries in case the encountered superior enemy forces. The number and caliber of the guns was unknown.
