Japanese naval oil storage at Bako on 27 June 1941

The American Naval Attache at Tokyo wrote that the estimates were prepared after considerable research and consulting the British Naval Attache at Tokyo and reasonable correct. If available were past estimates placed in parenthesis. It was furthermore reliable reported that all naval oil tankage was kept filled to capacity meaning that indicated amounts were the very minimum of Japan.

At Bako were 3x3,000 ton tanks and 1x18,000 tons tank. Estimated total capacity 40,000 tons (27,000).
