Allied aircraft attacked Rabaul, New Guinea according to the U.S. Joint Intelligence Committee. Daily summary dated 23 April 1942

An item reported that on 20 April Allied aircraft attacked a wharf and buildings at Rabaul causing several fires. The Japanese patrol headquarters 50 miles west of Rabaul was also attacked destroying a large building and damaging another building.
