Dutch motor ship Knikker investigating sea fishery possibilities in the Red Sea according to the Dutch newspaper Tilburgsche courant dated 7 December 1926

An item referred to a tiding received from IJmuiden, Netherlands that on last Thursday afternoon the motor ship Knikker of the Maatschappij Knikker departed towards the Red Sea to investigate the possibilities for sea fishery by a there founded private company using the steam trawler system. Her crew consisted for the moment of the master, 2 wheelsmen, a wireless operator and 2 engineers. The intention was to enlist the needed deckhands abroad. Mr. R. den Boer, ship owner at Haarlem, Netherlands and director of the Maatschappij Noorderlicht at Ijmuiden was to travel over land to be embarked in the first harbour.
