British gunboat HMS Medina 1876-1904

Francis Elgar. The Royal Navy 1872-1880 in a series of illustrations

Part of Medina-class gunboats preceded by Ant-class succeeded by Bouncer-class. Either a development of the Rendel or flat-iron gunboat or using the design of the onderwater form of the Brazilian Captain Trajano de Carvalho. Launched at Palmers Shipbuilding and Iron Company, Jarrow, England on 3 August 1876 and sold at Bermuda in 1904.
