Laid down for account of the Peninsular and Oriental Steam Navigation Company, London for the route Southampton-Alexandria by C.J. Mare&Co., Leamouth, London, England in November 1851. launched on 24 May 1853, completed on 9 January 1854, bought by the British government on 14 July 1854, renamed C60 als coal hulk in December 1895, sold on 28 September 1920, private owner as coal hulk Himalaya at Portland Harbours and sunk in a Germain air attack on 12 June 1940.
