An item reported that a ship was torpedoed and sunk off the north east coast of Santo Domingo and a submarine was sighted near Aruba. The J.I.C. commented that it could be the expected restart of enemy submarine activities. But it was also possible that the submarine earlier active in the Florida Straits area moved to a new position southward or returning home. The sighting off Aruba could be an error.
