Part of Wiesbaden-class, preceded by Pillau-class succeeded by Königsberg-class, laid down under contract name Ersatz Gefion by A.G. Vulcan, Stettin, Germany in 1913, launched on 20 January 1915, commissioned on 23 August 1915 and sunk in the battle of Jutland on 1 June 1916.
