Allied losses of merchant and warships caused by Japanese navy according to the U.S. Joint Intelligence Committee. Daily summary dated 23 December 1941

An item referred to the Japanese news agency Domei which stated that since the war started the Japanese navy sunk, damaged or seized 47 enemy warships and captured 38 merchant ships and 380 smaller craft and shot down 114 aircraft. The Japanese losses were just 72 planes, 1 destroyer and 1 minesweeper, damaged were 1 light cruiser and 1 minesweeper and missing 5 submarines.
