Similar Nissei Maru, Kiyo Maru, Nissin Maru No. 3 and Sakae Maru. Call sign JHWB. Launched by J. Blumer&Co., North Dock, Sunderland, England with yard number 169 on 18 September 1902, completed in November 1902 and broken up in Japan in 1951. Gross tonnage 2,794 tons, under deck 2,623 tons, netto tonnage 2,051 tons, deadweight 4,650 tons and as dimensions 319.5 x 46.0x 21.2 x 7.2 (light)-20.8 (loaded) feet. Reciprocating propulsion, single screw, horsepower 249 nhp, coal bunker capacity 665 tons, range nautical 6,500 miles/8 knots and speed 8 (normal cruising)-10 (maximum) knots.
