Laid down by Palmers Shipbuilding and Iron Company, Jarrow on 14 June 1890, launched on 28 May 1892, completed in November 1893, commissioned on 5 December 1893, decommissioned on 8 August 1911 and sold to be broken up on 2 April 1914.
