Launched by Soc. Provençale de Constructions Navales for the Messageries Maritimes, La Ciotat, Marseille, France on 29 October 1922 for Messageries Maritimes serving on their Indian Ocean Line and Indochina Line, seized at Saigon by Japanese on 10 April 1942, became the transport Teiritu Maru, sunk after striking a mine off Maizuru, Japan on 28 July 1945, salvaged by Japanese in August 1948 and repaired at Maizuru, given back to her owner retainining her original name in December 1950, again active on the line France-Indochina until 1952. used for repatriation of French troop from Indochina in 1954 and broken up in February 1956
