Japanese pocket battleship Kasino in 1942 believed to be a smaller ship

An item reported that the Kasino earlier believed to be a pocket battleship was now believed to be a ship of less importance.(1)

1. Not existing. Possible misunderstanding for the Japanese ammunition ship IJN Kashino laid down by Mitusbishi Heavy Industries, Nagasaki, Japan on 1 July 1939, launched on 26 January 1940, commissioned on 10 July 1940 and sunk by the American submarine USS Growler north east of Taiwan on 4 September 1942. The German panzerschiffe were reclassified as heavy cruisers in February 1940, they were called abroad pocket battleships. Deutschland-class built between 1929-1936 succeeded by Admiral Hipper-class and planned D-class cruisers,consisting of the Deutschland (renamed Lützow in 1940, Admiral Graf Spee and Admiral Scheer. Displacement of the Admiral Graf Spee 12,540 (standard)-16,280 (full load) tons and 2x3-28cm/11” guns.
