American cargo ship Sagadahoc believed to be lost according to the U.S. Joint Intelligence Committee. Daily summary dated 23 December 1941

An item reported that the USA-flagged merchant ship Sagadahoc was considered to be lost while after being 8 days overdue at Point Elizabeth (South Africa) wreckage was found and identified.

Note

1. Built by Texas Steamship Co., Bath, USA in 1918 and sunk by the German submarine U-124 on 3 December 1941.
