Number of Japanese transports in the Philippines increasing according to the U.S. Joint Intelligence Committee. Daily summary dated 16 December 1941

An item referred to the C.G. Philippines 14 December reporting that in the north of the Philippines the number of Japanese transports increased. Four were unloaded at Legaspi. On 15 December was there one transport seriously damaged and some others perhaps during an attack by US heavy bombers.
