Australian bombers attacked Japanese warships at Rabaul, New Guinea according to the U.S. Joint Intelligence Committee. Daily summary dated 28 January 1942

An item reported that Australian R.A.A.F. bombers attacked Rabaul, New Guinea possible hitting two Japanese warships starting fires. Despite heavy anti aircraft fire the bombers returned safely.
