Japanese battleship Tosa under construction in 1942

An item reported that there were still hardly any details available of the 45,000 ton battleships under construction except that one was to be named Tosa.(1)

1. Not existing. In the past was the Tosa of the Tosa-class ordered under the 1918 Fiscal Year, laid down by Mitsubishi, Nagasaki, Japan on 2 Feburary 1920, launched on 18 December 1921, building cancelled of 5 February 1922 and scuttled on 9 February 1925. She was to have a displacement of 40,540 (standard)-44,909 (full load) tons.
