Large number of victims on board of exploded French battleship Liberté according to the Dutch newspaper Bataviaasch nieuwsblad dated 27 September 1911

An item dated Toulon, France 22nd reported that of the crew of the Liberté 143 were killed or missing and 91 other seriously wounded. On board of the nine other warships were 24 men killed, 37 missing, 45 seriously and 48 light wounded.(1)

1. Part of Liberté-class preceded by République-class succeeded by Danton-class, laid down by Ateliers et Chantiers de la Loire, Saint-Nazaire, France in November 1902, launched on 19 April 1905, completed on 13 April 1909, destroyed by an explosion in a charges magazine at Toulon on 25 September 1911 and wrecked towed into a drydock in 1925 and broken up.
