British dreadnought HMS Audacious launched according to the Dutch newspaper Bataviaasch nieuwsblad dated 16 September 1912

An item dated London, England 15thh reported the launching at Birkenhead, England by countess Lytton of the improved British dreadnought HMS Audacious. With a measurement of 23.000 tons, a speed of 21 knots and a main armament of 5” guns.(1)

Note

1. Part of King George V-class preceded by Orion-class succeeded by Iron Duke-class, ordered in 1910, laid down by Cammell Laird, Birkenhead, England on 23 March 1911, launched on 14 September 1912, completed in August 1913, commissioned on 15 October 913 and sunk after striking a mine on 27 October 1914.
