In his letter No. 39/39 G 988 dated 11 January 1939 to the Oberkommando der Kriegsmarine reported the German naval attaché in Italy the launching of the Italian destroyer Lancieret on 18 December 1938 by Cantieri del Tirreno di Riva Trigoso.
